NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

Dozens of cab drivers gathered outside City Hall to express frustration with Uber.
They claim the ride share drivers aren't working on a level playing field when it comes to regulation.

"Everybody is tired, we're not making no money out there. We have a lot of regulation on us. We pay the fine, CP&Cs, insurance," cabbie Mohamed Mahmoud said.  "So we're trying to pass the word around they need to be regulated like us."

The City of New Orleans says it worked hard to make the ride sharing ordinance fair and reasonable. The city says both taxi and Uber drivers work under the same requirements for background checks, car quality, credit cards and destinations.
