Mandeville Mayor Donald Villere no longer faces ethics charges.
The Ethics Adjudicatory Board announced Tuesday it dismissed charges stemming from Villere's 2010 mayoral campaign because there is no "factual support sufficient to establish" that he violated ethics rules.
Former mayoral candidate Trilby Lenfant filed a complaint alleging that Villere made false statements in campaign ads.
"I am pleased that the Ethics Adjudicatory Board made the correct decision and dismissed these politically motivated charges," Mayor Villere said. "I am glad to be vindicated and that this distraction is finally over. I look forward to continuing to work hard for the people of Mandeville," Villere said.
