LAFOURCHE PARISH, LA (WVUE) - Lafourche deputies arrest a woman that they say stole $220,000 from her employer.
In early September, detectives say they uncovered that Rhonda Anglin cashed several business checks made payable to cash. After investigating further, they say Anglin had been stealing from her employer since Feb. 2014.
Police say Anglin was in charge of checking the cash register drawers, and investigators found she had ultimately written deposit slips for less money than was actually there.
Deputies say during questioning Anglin admitted her involvement in the crime. She was arrested on the warrant and booked with felony theft (Greater than $25,000). She was released Wednesday afternoon after posting $25,000 bond.
