Police: Salon owner planned to sell drugs out of business

HAMMOND, LA (WVUE) -

Officers in Hammond arrested the owner of a hair salon for allegedly planning to sell illegal drugs out of her business.

The Hammond Police Department and Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office say they found numerous narcotics at Shear Prodigy Salon in the 100 block of West Morris Street.

The owner, 38-year-old Marcia Kendrick, of Hammond, was booked into the city jail for possession of marijuana, Oxycodone, Hydrocodone and Xanax.

Officials did not say if a bond has been set.
