The NOPD is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 17-year-old and identifying two other suspects wanted for an armed robbery and kidnapping in New Orleans East.

The incident took place Sept. 26 at the intersection of Benson and Dinkins Streets.

At about 6:30 p.m., the victim was approached by three suspects in a gold SUV. The wanted suspect, 17-year-old Lance Lindsey, was sitting in the front passenger seat and called the victim to come over to the vehicle. When he approached, the rear seat passenger opened the rear door and pulled the victim inside the vehicle.

Once inside the vehicle, the rear passenger and driver pointed pistols at the victim. The rear passenger then went through the victim’s pockets and took his belongings. The driver of the vehicle drove the victim to Bill Street where they pushed him out of the vehicle.

During the course of the investigation, detectives identified Lindsey as one of the suspects and obtained a warrant for his arrest. Detectives are investigating to determine the identity of the other two suspects.

Seventh District Detectives are investigating the incident and can be contacted at 658-6070.
