Police: Suspect forced man to vacant lot, robbed him

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Police want help finding a man accused of robbing someone in a parking garage. They say around 3:50 a.m., on August 26, 2015, the victim was walking to his vehicle in the 200 block of Royal Street when someone approached him and offered to get him some drugs.

Investigators say as the victim entered the parking garage, the suspect entered his vehicle, showed him a handgun in his waistband and told him to drive. When he drove to the intersection of Pauger and Tonti Streets, the suspect told him to get out of the vehicle and walk into a vacant lot.

Once at the location, the suspect attacked the victim, robbed him, and then ran away. Investigators believe 25-year-old Rashad Quinn was the attacker. They obtained an arrest warrant for armed robbery.

Anyone who can help police find Quinn is asked to call Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
