RummelThe Raiders' early season away tests finally caught up to them with a loss to national powerhouse Don Bosco Prep in New Jersey. While their number one standing is no longer unanimous and their record is blemished, coach Jay Roth still has plenty to look forward to heading into Catholic League play Saturday against Shaw.
23Brother MartinBruce Jordan-Swilling continues to be the Leonard Fournette of high school football as the junior had 184 yards in BM's 40-37 overtime win over John Curtis, putting him at 1,001 yards through four games. They'll look to keep the momentum going Saturday against Fournette's alma mater, St. Augustine, which just upset previously #8 Jesuit.
34DestrehanThe Wildcats benefit from John Curtis' loss but made plenty of positive impressions in a 48-23 dismantling of Hahnville, led by Kohen Granier's four passing touchdowns.
42John CurtisAfter nearly surviving a grueling opening four games, the Patriots will get a bye week to prepare for a rematch of the Division I State Championship against Jesuit.
55PonchatoulaThe Green Wave kept rolling with a 28-14 over a tough Covington team. They'll have a tough test in week five when travel to face a Mandeville team that is receiving votes in our poll.
66McDonogh 35Thursday throttlings are becoming a routine for the Roneagles with a 34-14 dismissal of Lake Area but the show moves to Friday night this week against undefeated Carver, a game which could go a long way in deciding the District 9-4A race.
77De La SalleRicco Wheat's three touchdowns sparked a 47-14 beat down of Lusher and now coach Ryan Manale's Cavaliers look like the clear cut favorites to win District 9-3A. Up next: McMain at Joe Brown Stadium Friday.
88Warren EastonThe Eagles continue to fly high in their buildup to league play, winning by a combined 77 points the last two weeks over McMain and Belle Chasse. Expect more of the same Thursday against Wright.

LSU went back to work this week in preparation for the Citrus Bowl against Notre Dame. A win would be nice, but this is also a chance to get some freshman playing time to get ready for 2018. Well it'll come in practice only. "Those guys will get more reps. So I'll give them a couple of more reps at the end of a team period. It's sending the wrong message to our football team. It's all focus on winning the game. Exactly what we did last year," said LSU Head Coach Ed Org...more>>
