ST. TAMMANY PARISH, LA (WVUE) -

The Saint Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office arrested a Slidell man accused of leading them on a chase in a stolen vehicle. Deputies booked Christopher Beals into the Saint Tammany Parish Jail October 1, 2015.
A deputy was alerted about a stolen red Honda Civic near I-12 and Hwy 11. A short time later he noticed the vehicle traveling west bound on I-12 near the Hwy 434 exit. Instead of pulling over, deputies say Beals continued driving on I-12, reaching speeds of 80-85 miles per hour.
Additional deputies positioned their patrol vehicles around the car Beals was driving and gradually forced him to stop near the Pinnacle exit. Beals was taken into custody without incident.
Beals' vehicle was reported stolen yesterday in Mandeville. The Mandeville Police Department is investigating the vehicle theft.
Beals was booked with possession of stolen things, possession of a legend drug without a prescription and aggravated flight from an officer.
