Would-be car thieves stall, end up fleeing on foot after car won't start

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

A driver was forced out of his car by two armed men Friday night who then couldn't get the vehicle to start.

According to NOPD, the 31-year-old male victim was sitting in his vehicle near the intersection of Dante and Stroelitz when two armed black males approached him. The two men knocked on his window and demanded he get out of the car. 

After the victim exited, the two armed robbers were unable to start the car, so they stole the victim's cellphone and fled the scene on foot.
