Monday morning, members of the NOPD's Violent Offender Warrant Squad arrested 18-year-old Joseph Dixon at a home in the 6600 block of Coventry Street.

Dixon is the third suspect arrested in connection with a July 2015 shooting that left a teenager dead and a 4-year-old boy wounded. The shooting happened just after 2 p.m. on Boeing Street. 17-year-old Gerald Morgan died from a gunshot wound to the head. The child suffered a gunshot wound to the arm.

Two other suspects are already in custody. Police say 19-year-old Damond Jackson and 18-year-old Sterling Lewis were arrested with the help of Crimestoppers tips.
