Police: Man wanted for armed robbery on Tulane's campus

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

New Orleans Police are investigating the armed robbery of a student that took place on Tulane's Uptown campus. The incident occurred Saturday at 3:45 p.m. in the LBC Quad. 

Police say that the victim was sitting at a table with two of her friends, when an unknown Hispanic man sat down next to her and showed her a gun that he had in his waistband.  The suspect then demanded that she withdraw money from the ATM machine. After the victim complied, the suspect ran through Pocket Park towards Freret Street. Witnesses told police that they saw the man heading down Freret Street towards Calhoun Street.  

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his mid 20's. He has a thin build, light facial hair and was last seen wearing black clothing and a winter snow hat.
