1 killed, 1 injured in 7th Ward Shooting

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

The NOPD is investigating the shooting death of one man and the wounding of another.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of family members.         

At about 4 p.m., police responded to a call of a male shot in the 1300 block of Annette Street. When officers arrived, they found a 34-year-old male lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds to the body. Minutes later, police located a 17-year-old male at Claiborne Avenue and Laharpe Street who was shot to the side. 

EMS took both victims to the hospital, where the 34-year-old male later died. The 17-year-old male was taken into surgery.
