METAIRIE, LA (WVUE) -

Three men are behind bars after Jefferson Parish deputies say they forced their way into a Metairie home by posing as repairmen, according to our partners at Nola.com-The Times-Picayune.

Allen Narciss, Ronald Bowman, and Terry McCall Jr. each face aggravated burglary charges. Narciss is also charged with attempted murder of a police officer.

Authorities say he dragged a responding sheriff's deputy alongside the SUV he drove as he tried to get away.

The alleged burglary happened last Wednesday at a home in the 3500 block of Bissonet Drive.

Deputies say the three men forced their way into a 58-year-old woman's home and beat her before they stole her wallet and cash.

Investigators say one of the suspects tried to throw off responding officers by pretending to live at the home. Deputies eventually arrested all three men following a chase that injured a deputy.
