Suspect arrested in Houma double shooting

HOUMA, LA (WVUE) -

The Houma Police Department has arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting that left one man dead and a woman injured. 

According to police, officers were called to a residence in the 300 block of Roselawn Avenue around 10:30 p.m. in reference to two subjects being shot.  

Police discovered a male and female suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The female was transported to the hospital where she received treatment for her injuries.  The male subject was pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified as 36-year-old Willie Hart Jr.

Houma Police arrested Joshua Swan on Thursday as he was coming out of a home on Norman Street. He faces one count of first-degree murder, one count of attempted first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
