Police: Suspect found with $94 in loose change

(WVUE) - The Thibodaux Police Department says a man admitted to burglarizing a vehicle, after he was caught with $94 in loose change.

According to a press release, officers first responded to a call on Wednesday before 7 a.m. of a suspicious person jumping fences in the 1700 block of Lynn Street. They say that is where they arrested 25-year-old Javon Davis for criminal trespassing. Davis reportedly had the loose change in his pockets and in a Crown Royal bag that he left in someone's yard while running.

Investigators say Davis admitted to breaking into a Jeep. He's currently being held at the Lafourche Parish Detention Center.
