NOPD: Woman moves out of Algiers home, steals roommate's rent

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The NOPD is asking for the public's help in locating a woman wanted for a theft in Algiers.

The incident took place Sept. 21 on Sullivan Place.

Police said 26-year-old Jericha Brown, who lived with the victim, was given $1,500 in cash to pay the rent. Instead, they said Brown kept the cash and took a television, Xbox One and a Dell laptop from the victim's home.

Brown moved out of the victim's house and has not been seen or heard from since.
