NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A missing oyster fisherman was rescued near Cocodrie Saturday.
The man is reportedly uninjured.
An Air Station New Orleans MH-65 Dolphin Helicopter rescue crew spotted the missing boat and the man walking in an area of marsh during search efforts Saturday afternoon.
A Coast Guard rescue swimmer was lowered from the helicopter and the crew hoisted the man from the marsh where he had been since last Sunday.
The Coast Guard rescue crew took the man to Houma Airport where he was evaluated by EMS.
The Coast Guard began the search when the man was last seen by other fishermen Oct 19.
