S&WB: Water main work may prompt low water pressure for multiple New Orleans neighborhoods

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Work on a 50-inch water main, may prompt low water pressure for multiple New Orleans neighborhoods from 10 p.m. Monday to 11 a.m. Tuesday, according to a Sewerage and Water Board spokesperson. The work, which was originally scheduled for Sunday night, has been moved to Monday night to due the inclement weather.

The S&WB spokesperson says that residents and businesses in the Uptown, Downtown, French Quarter and Warehouse District neighborhoods may experience the low water pressure as a result of the work.

The work will also result in a street closure, according to the spokesperson. North Carrollton Avenue from Canal Street to Iberville Street will be closed to vehicular traffic.
