NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The sun finally made its way through the clouds today, as we went from drought to a nearly 6" surplus overnight. The surface low that was responsible for the flooding rains is clearing the area, and cloud cover is dissipating.
High temps will reach the low 80s. A very weak cold front will move into the area tomorrow, possibly developing a few showers, but only around 10-20% coverage.
Friday remains dry and Halloween and Sunday still look wet. Not as much rain as this past weekend, but unwanted inches of rain could accumulate. I see no strong cold fronts over the next 7-10 days.
