Police: Thibodaux man attacked relative with bat

THIBODAUX, LA (WVUE) - Police arrested a Thibodaux man accused of attacking a relative with a baseball bat.

Nathan Robertson, 27, was booked on charges of aggravated battery with a dangerous weapon and resisting an officer.

Police say on Oct. 28, Robertson attacked the victim as the pair washed their hands at Robertson's home in the 200 block of Sanders Street.
The victim fled to another home in the 1400 block of Rock Street, but Robertson chased him on a bike. He allegedly followed the victim into the home and attacked the victim again.

When police arrived, Robertson was placed under arrest. Police say he refused to cooperate during the booking procedure and had to be physically restrained because he was continuously kicking the holding cell door.

The victim refused medical treatment.

Robertson was booked into the Lafourche Parish Detention Center on a $30,000 bond.
