Man ties up victim, steals wallet and TV from Uptown home

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

A man was tied up and his Uptown residence was burglarized.

It happened Thursday around 10:15 p.m. in the 4500 block of Annunciation Street.

The man entered the residence and demanded the 26-year-old victim's wallet, according to an initial police report.

The intruder brought him into a back bedroom, tied him up and ransacked the house until he found a wallet.

The perpetrator then left the residence with the wallet and a television.

Two people were also in the house, according to the report.

The New Orleans Police classified the incident as an aggravated burglary.
