Trick-or-treat crowds stay ahead of the weather

JEFFERSON PARISH, LA (WVUE) - Kids of all ages took to the streets Friday, despite some feeling more tricked then they did treated.

"It was a hassle and my son has a football game tonight," parent Melanie Spano said.

"We were like you have to be kidding us," Patti Boudreaux said.

A frightening line of storms making its way through the area Saturday pushed up trick-or-treating in the entire region, except St. Tammany Parish.

But the superheroes and the masses found a way to make it work.

"I'm so happy I don't have to go through the bed weather tomorrow, and I can just stay home eat my candy," trick-or-treater Kira Manganello.

Some in the Friday crowd said they will trick-or-treat on Halloween as well.

"I think we are going to hit the malls tomorrow," parent Jeffrey Roche said. "I think it's going to be crowded."
