NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

New Orleans Police work to identify and find the man they say robbed an Auto Zone.

It happened Sunday in the 4800 block of General Meyer Avenue.

Investigators say the man entered the store around 8:30 a.m. and lifted his raincoat, showing a black handgun. That’s when police say he demanded money from the cash register. The employee complied, and handed the suspect an undetermined amount of cash.

The suspect then left the store in what police call a blue early model extended cab pick-up truck with dark tinted windows.

If you know who the man is you are asked to call the Fourth District Investigative Unit at (504) 658-6040 or Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
