NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - An Orleans Parish judge on Wednesday ruled in favor of the Louisiana Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control, reinstating the suspensions of three French Quarter strip clubs cited for drugs and prostitution.
The ruling restores the original order calling for the businesses to immediately stop selling alcohol and tobacco.
Judge Paula Brown ruled that ATC satisfied all the legal requirements of emergency suspensions of Centerfolds Fais Deaux Deaux, Lipstixx/Fais Deaux Deaux, and The Mansion on Bourbon. Brown ruled that the businesses' due process rights were not violated and refused to grant an injunction to the businesses.
The emergency suspension of the businesses' permits was issued on Oct. 27 following a month-long undercover operation at the clubs.
An administrative hearing is scheduled for the businesses on Nov. 9.
