Third suspect still at-large in Livingston Parish shooting

DENHAM SPRINGS, LA (WVUE) - After making two arrests, police are searching for the third suspect in what they believe was an armed robbery turned violent.

The investigation began in Denham Springs. According to the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office, officers were called to the scene of a shooting in the 9300 block of Lockhart Road on Tuesday, Nov. 3. A 34-year-old white male has been shot in the upper torso. His wound was non-life threatening.

According to Sheriff Jason Ard, detectives believe the shooting was a robbery gone wrong.

LPSO officers arrested two suspects so far, but a third is still at-large.

Justin Slinker and Derek Tauzin, both from Walker, were arrested as suspects in the shooting. Police are still searching for 23-year-old Cullen Pitre.

Pitre is wanted for Attempted Second Degree Murder and Principal to Attempted Armed Robbery with use of a Firearm.

This investigation is ongoing according to the LPSO. More arrests are possible.
