NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - We just missed hitting the record highs today and should be back into the low- to mid-80s again on Friday.
A slow-moving cold front will stagger our way not reaching SE LA/MS until around midday on Saturday. A few showers could develop Friday afternoon, but rain chances will be higher with the front Saturday into Saturday night.
If the front keeps moving, most of the showers will be gone by daybreak on Sunday with noticeably cooler air flowing in on brisk north winds. It won't last long as winds quickly shift back to the east on Monday and SE by Tuesday.
