NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

Police are investigating the alleged kidnapping of a woman who said she was brought to a Mid-City home against her will, tied up and gagged.

The woman told police she was kidnapped in Kenner on Friday morning by a Hispanic man who took her to a home in the 100 block of N. Lopez Street. At some point, she said her captor left the house and she was able to escape and call police.

It is not known if the woman knew her kidnapper.

New Orleans police are working with Kenner detectives to find the suspect.
