WASHINGTON PARISH, LA (WVUE) -

Sheriff’s Deputies say they arrested a man for several charges, including aggravated rape of a developmentally disabled person.

Eddie McBeth, 60, was arrested on Wednesday, November 4.

Investigators say they received a report of a sexual assault on a developmentally disabled person. They say an investigation revealed the assault did occur and they developed McBeth has a suspect.

“All crimes are bad, but this type crime is particularly despicable,” said Sheriff Randy Seal, Washington Parish. “Persons who prey on anyone, especially those with special needs, deserve only one outcome, and that is jail.  I congratulate our detectives for making this arrest.”

McBeth was into the Washington Parish Jail on Aggravated Rape and being a Convicted Felon In Possession Of A Firearm. His bond is set at $350,000.
