NOPD investigating Treme homicide

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

Police are on the scene of a shooting in the Treme neighborhood.

According to NOPD, an unidentified male victim was shot and killed near the corner of North Dorgenois and St. Peters Streets. Officers received the call of a man down around 10:19 a.m.

When police arrived on scene they found the victim unresponsive with several gunshot wounds. According to NOPD, the victim was lying partially on the sidewalk and partially on the street next to a bicycle.

He died on the scene.
