A cold front is slowly moving through Louisiana and will pass our area in the early evening. Numerous moderate rain showers are around through much of the night. A surge of tropical moisture ahead of this front will keep us on the wetter side even behind the front tonight as winds shift from Southeast to Northeast later tonight.
However, as the front moves eastward, most of the rain will move eastward with it by early tomorrow morning. So Saints Sunday tailgating may see a stray shower or two in the early morning hours (6-9 a.m.), but models indicate most of the rain will be east of Downtown New Orleans after 9 a.m., so pre-game festivities should be mostly dry but quite a bit cooler.
Clouds will linger through most of Sunday with a few sunny breaks through the afternoon. Gradual clearing for Monday until another more vigorous front moves through on Wednesday night.
