NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The front that brought us rain yesterday has moved to the east and high pressure is slowly building in. Winds are out of the north pushing in much cooler air.
However, clouds are slow to move out but are beginning to break up. The rest of today and tonight will be mainly cloudy with a northeast winds making it feel like autumn.
Lows Sunday night will drop into the upper 50's on the south shore and lower 50's on the North Shore. On Monday, clouds will linger but will break up through the day and we will see sunshine in the afternoon, which will warm us up.
Tuesday into Wednesday will be mainly sunny and warmer until the next cold front moves through late Wednesday night and then cooling us off once again.
We'll also be watching a tropical disturbance near the Bahamas which could become Tropical Storm Kate in the next day. But this system should not get into the Gulf.
