Gubernatorial Candidates to Attend Forum in Baton Rouge Monday

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The two candidates in the race for the Governor's Mansion will appear in the same place for the first time on Monday, since they made it into the runoff election.

US Sen. David Vitter and state Rep. John Bel Edwards will both speak at the Press Club of Baton Rouge.

The club meets in the Iberville Room at the Belle of Baton Rouge Hotel, which is located at 102 France St. in Baton Rouge.

The public is invited, but only members of the Press Club and the news media are allowed to ask the candidates questions during the event.

Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, and is $13 for members and $17 for nonmembers.

The runoff election is scheduled for November 21st.

In addition to the race for governor, voters will decide the next Lieutenant Governor and Attorney General, as well as a number of local races.
