NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The Coast Guard is searching for a man who went missing on his sailboat after leaving out the harbor in Biloxi, Mississippi. The girlfriend of 61 year old Keith Carver of Tucson, Arizona contacted authorities after Carver failed to show up in Corpus Christi on November 4th.
The Coast Guard Carver left out on his 38-foot sailboat, the Carpe Noctem the day before, but hasn't been heard from since then.
The Coast Guard began an official search in the Gulf of Mexico near Main Pass on Monday. The Coast Guard is searching by air, with the help of a HC-144 Ocean Sentry fixed-wing aircraft crew out of Mobile Alabama and a HC-130 fixed wing aircraft crew out of Clearwater, Florida.
