Saints to sign QB Matt Flynn, Luke McCown to IR

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

The New Orleans Saints are bringing in a familiar name to be the new backup for Drew Brees. Coach Sean Payton says that former LSU Tiger Matt Flynn will sign with the Saints, according to a tweet from the team. 

Flynn will be brought in to replace Luke McCown who will miss the rest of the season, due to a back procedure that will be performed on Tuesday. 

The Saints return to action on Sunday on the road against Washington.
