NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Testimony is expected to start at 9 a.m. at criminal district court in the trial of former Orleans Parish Juvenile Court judge Yolanda King.
King is accused of falsifying public records and filing fraudulent campaign documents before her 2013 election.
King sat on the bench for less than a year before her indictment. If convicted, she could possibly face a combined seven years in prison and $7,000 in fines
King is accused of claiming New Orleans residency when she actually lived in St. Tammany Parish. She was suspended by the Louisiana Supreme Court after her indictment and was unseated by voters last year.
King has denied any wrongdoing.
