NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - If you're looking for a copy of "Southern Nights" or "The Bright Mississippi," you'd better move fast. Allen Toussaint's death reignited his album sales.
Workers at The Mushroom, an Uptown music store, said they had to put in an emergency order to restock several Toussaint albums to meet demand. And the Music Factory in the Marigny said their stock is limited.
Toussaint, a New Orleans native and world-wide music legend, died from a heart attack while on tour in Europe on Nov. 10. He was 77.
