NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Members of the New Orleans Police Department/FBI Task force have named a person of interest in a series of recent Uptown restaurant armed robberies. Police say that 21-year-old Dwayne "Butter" Winns is not a suspect at this time, but detectives believe he may have information regarding the armed robberies.
According to police, Winns was previously indicted for accessory after the fact to second degree murder by an Orleans Parish Grand Jury on Thursday, for his role in the May 11, 2015 shooting death of 30-year-old Harold Martin.
Rolandus Campbell and Wesley Davis were both arrested in connection with the murder. Police say that investigators believe Winns helped Davis avoid being captured while he was wanted.
If you have any information that could help locate Dwayne "Butter" Winns, you are asked to call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111.
