NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Funeral arrangements for New Orleans music legend Allen Toussaint have been set for Friday at the Orpheum Theater. The public is invited to the visitation, which will take place from 8 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. A tribute will begin at 11 a.m. followed by a private burial.
Toussaint passed away Tuesday November 10th at the age of 77 following a heart attack, while on tour in Madrid, Spain.
Over the years, Toussaint has captured the hearts of fans from around the world, boasting his skills as a singer, songwriter, producer, bandleader and arranger. He has also worked with several big-name performers such as Irma Thomas, Fats Domino and Ernie K. Doe, just to name a few.
