New Orleans, LA (WVUE) - The Houma Police Department released new details on a drug arrest near the twin span bridges.
Shortly before 9 p.m. on Nov. 15, Houma Police received a call that two men were riding bicycles on the the twin span bridges, and one of them was possibly carrying a firearm.
When officers arrived, they say no one was on the bridge. A short time later, officers say they saw a man riding a bicycle on the Liberty Street Bridge heading towards Terrebonne General Medical Center.
Houma Police stopped the man, and identified him as Jerrell A. Thibodaux, 29.
After further investigation, the department said officers recovered approximately 2.25 grams of Methamphetamine in Thibodaux's front pocket. Police arrested him for Possession of CDS II (crystal meth) and transported him to the jail.
The department said officers did not recover a weapon.
