89-year-old man carjacked in Mid-City

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - An 89-year-old man was carjacked Monday morning in Mid-City.

The victim was getting into his vehicle when someone approached him and demanded he give it up.

The man complied and the perpetrator drove away.

The vehicle is a 2002 gray four-door Buick with a Louisiana license plate ONZ387.

The incident happened in the 300 block of North Tonti Street around 7 a.m.

The suspect was described as black male with a thin build, light complexion. He was approximately 5'10" tall and weighs approximately 175 pounds. He was wearing a black army style cap, black t-shirt with yellow numbers on it, and black pants.
