Bruce: Flash flood watch, wind advisory, severe storm threat

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - A powerful upper disturbance over the four corners will lift out into the central plains today. A squall line is likely to form ahead of a slow moving cold front that won't reach us until late tonight for the western viewers and Wednesday morning the city and Mississippi Gulf coast.

A flood watch has been issued for Tuesday into Wednesday for the possibility of 2-4"-plus rainfall that could cause some flooding issues. Also, a wind advisory is in effect for the area through 6pm this evening.

Winds sustained at 20-25 with gusts to 30-40mph. Some of the storms could turn severe. Cooler and drier air filters in for Thursday & Friday with even colder air coming for this weekend.
