Two Thibodaux men arrested on gun and drug charges

THIBODAUX, LA (WVUE) -

Two Thibodaux men were arrested on gun and drug possession charges after the smell of burnt marijuana arouse police suspicions. 

Christopher Milek, 27, of the 1800 block of St. Mary Street in Thibodaux was arrested for weapons possession, first degree marijuana possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, expired tags and a  burnt tail lamp.

Jordan Tabor, 22, of the 1000 block of People Street in Thibodaux was arrested for weapons possession, possession of firearms by a convicted felon and first degree marijuana possession.

Around 10:30 Monday night Thibodaux police spotted a blue Chevrolet Tahoe with a burnt tail light near the intersection of  La. 1 and St. Phillip Street.

The vehicle was stopped in a gas station parking lot, and police could smell what they believed to be burnt marijuana. The vehicle was searched and police found the drugs and an assortment of handguns, rifles and ammunition.

The pair was arrested and taken to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center. Milek was released on $5,600 bond. Tabor remains in custody. His bond was set at $55,300.
