Man accused of shooting Tulane medical student denied bond

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

The man accused of shooting a Tulane University medical school student as he attempted to thwart a crime in progress was denied bond this morning.

Euric Cain, 21, was ordered held without bond, in connection with the Monday morning shooting of the Peter Gold, 25. Gold stepped in to stop a Cain from kidnapping a woman near the intersection of Magazine Street and St. Mary Street in the Lower Garden District.

Cain is being held on aggravated kidnapping and first degree murder charges.
