Tulane reportedly set to dismiss Curtis Johnson after season finale

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Sitting at 3-8 heading into Tulane's Senior Night against Tulsa Friday, the school is reportedly set to dismiss Head Football Coach Curtis Johnson after the game, according to USA Today. Tulane is not going to comment on the report but a school representative told FOX 8's Juan Kincaid that any decision on a coach's status is not made until an evaluation at the end of the season.

Hired in December of 2011 from his post as wide receivers coach with the New Orleans Saints, Johnson has gone 15-33, highlighted by the 2013 campaign when the Green Wave went 7-6 and reached the New Orleans Bowl prior to losing to UL-Lafayette.

In two seasons playing at newly constructed Yulman Stadium on campus, Tulane has gone 6-17, coinciding with their admission into the American Athletic Conference. The season finale is set for 7 p.m. Friday.
