NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Following a week of reports that Saturday's game could be the last for Les Miles as the coach of LSU, Tigers Athletic Director Joe Alleva said that Miles will stay in Baton Rouge. After the Tigers picked up the 19-7 win over the Texas A&M Aggies on senior night, Alleva addressed the media and said that Miles will remain the coach of the Tigers.
"Les Miles is our football coach and will continue to be our football coach," Alleva said.
The news is sure to please a large number of Tiger fans as many of them showed their love and appreciation for Miles during Saturday's game, cheering loudly as he walked from the team bus into Tiger Stadium and when he walked out onto the field, prior to the game. After the win over the Aggies, the players showed their support for Miles by carrying him off of the field.
The Tigers finish the regular season with an 8-3 record and await to hear where they will play their bowl game and whom they will face.
