NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - New Orleans police released new surveillance video of a man who was beat and then shot in the French Quarter over the weekend.
Someone fatally shot Brandon Robinson, 26, in the 300 block of Bourbon Street on Saturday at 1:30 a.m. Nearby police heard the gunfire and discovered the victim lying on the sidewalk with a bullet wound to the abdomen.
Robinson was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Detectives obtained video that shows a melee unfold outside the Prohibition Bar. One man punched the victim and another person pulls out a gun and fires at least one shot.
Detectives are asking for assistance in identifying anyone who was involved in the incident.
