LAFOURCHE PARISH, LA (WVUE) - Three Central Lafourche High School students were taken into custody following a bomb scare at the school Tuesday, according to the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office.
The school was placed on lockdown for a short time Tuesday morning after a note that read "There will be a bombing at 12:00" was found in a boys' restroom.
Detectives identified three male students, ages 14 to 15, as the suspects. Their names are not being released because they are juveniles.
Detectives determined that the threat was not credible. Each of the boys was booked with communicating false information of a planned bombing and they were jailed at the Lafourche Parish Juvenile Justice Facility in Thibodaux. Disciplinary action from school officials is also pending.
