The inmate, Wilbert Robinson, was charged with seven counts of simple escape. Robinson is currently in the custody of the Louisiana Department of Corrections.

The jail employee, Gregory Jacques, was charged with seven counts of being a principal to simple escape, and one count of malfeasance in office.
