HOUMA, LA (WVUE) - A Houma man faces bank fraud charges.
Terrebonne Parish deputies began their investigation into Travis Griffin in November. They say there were looking into suspicious online transactions involving the 26-year-old's real estate business and his personal accounts at two local banks. Police said Griffin's accounts were overdrawn for more than $180,000 after the banks were alerted.
Deputies arrested Griffin Tuesday at his home and booked him into the Terrebonne Parish Jail on three counts of bank fraud and one count of felony issuing of worthless checks. His bond was set at $100,000.
