NEW ORLEANS (AP) - - Marcus Georges-Hunt scored 19 points to lead Georgia Tech over Tulane 76-68 on Saturday night.
Georges-Hunt had 15 points in the second half and made key plays down the stretch after the Green Wave cut Georgia Tech's lead to 67-64 with 3:34 remaining. Georges-Hunt's layup with 2:13 to play stretched the Yellow Jackets' lead to 69-64, and he took a charge on Tulane's Malik Morgan with 1:39 remaining to help seal the game.
Georges-Hunt was 7 of 13 from the floor. Charles Mitchell had 14 points with 14 rebounds for his eighth double-double in as many games. Nick Jacobs and Adam Smith had 13 points apiece for Georgia Tech (6-2).
Louis Dabney led Tulane (5-4) with 15 points on 5-of-18 shooting. Morgan scored 14 points and made all six of his field-goal attempts.
